DOMAIN NAME REGISTRATION:
Central House registers domain names through Network Solutions / VeriSign (http://www.verisign.com ). Visit their website to find out if the domain name you'd like to use is available. They currently charge $35 per year to register a domain name, with multiple years offered at a discount. We register through Network Solutions only -- we do not use the "discount" registrars because we've had too many clients who have had problems with them in the past. They tend to sell out to another company and then you're left unable to login and confused about where to renew. Network Solutions is a bit more expensive than many of the discounters, but they are worth it.

DOMAIN PARKING:
Central House also offers Domain Parking for people or businesses that need to reserve their domain name but are not ready to build a website yet. Central House will register your domain name and "park" it until you are ready. There is a $25 setup fee and an annual fee of $15 for this service. (This is separate from the registration fee charged by VeriSign.)

COLOCATION SERVICES

Colocation is an outsource service. Typically, in-house site based solutions require additional hardware, skills and personnel. Outsourcing provides a cost-effective alternative. Additionally, colocation can resolve Internet access issues, such as slow connections or bandwidth congestion. Colocation makes sense whether you own your own equipment and host it at another site or use a server provided by the outsource company.

Central House has provided colocation for corporate customers since 1998. We can provide direct Internet access from our network for customer equipment and services. Companies needing fast, high volume access for their systems can utilize our 'high speed' Internet circuits without incurring the cost burdens of site based equipment, additional personnel, or purchasing/upgrading an Internet circuit. Central House can host your equipment at our site or provide the hardware to satisfy your company's requirements. An on-site, 40KW generator with an auto transfer switch will ensure that critical systems will always be functional and reachable.
