Central House respects your concerns about privacy safeguards. This privacy policy discloses how we gather, use, share and protect information collected about visitors to the Central House websites and subscribers to Central House Internet, long distance and e-learning services through www.centralhouse.com or www.centralhouse.net ("Service").

 

Central House collects three different types of information: (1) personally identifiable information you knowingly provide to Central House and/or its partners when subscribing to fee-based Services; (2) email or other contact information given when contacting us; and (3) personally identifiable information collected as you visit and browse secure areas of our websites. By visiting the Central House website or using the Service, you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Policy. Central House encourages you to read this Privacy Policy carefully.

What information does Central House gather?

Subscriber Information
Central House collects and securely stores personally identifying information that you provide to Central House (including, without limitation, your name, address, billing address, and phone number, credit card information, and email address) as part of the subscription process for fee-based Service. The personally identifiable information collected from subscribers during the subscription process for the fee-based Service is used by Central House to manage each subscriber's account. Central House does not collect any personally identifiable information from you if you subscribe to a free trial Service.

 

Subscriber Information for Voluntary Subscriber Online Surveys, Usability Studies, Contests, and Other Voluntary Programs
Central House may periodically conduct surveys, usability studies, contests and other programs that help Central House improve and promote its products and services. Subscribers may voluntarily participate in these programs and as a condition of such participation, subscribers may be asked to provide additional demographic information. Central House may collect such additional information that the subscriber voluntarily provides, including, without limitation, gender, age, income level, modem speed, or type of operating system used.

 

Visitor Information
The Central House Website servers automatically record visitor information based on your activity on the Central House Website and your activity while using the Service, such as visitor IP addresses and/or domain names. This enables us to send information you are requesting. An IP address is often associated with the place from which you enter the Internet such as your Internet service provider. This information is associated with you as an individual.

 

Communication Information
If you communicate directly with Central House by email or letter, Central House may collect and store a record of your communication.

How does Central House use the information and
with whom do we share the information?

Central House does not share, rent, lease or sell personally identifiable information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this Privacy Policy.

 

Subscriber Information. Central House; Agents. The personally identifiable information collected from subscribers during the subscription process for fee-based Service is used by Central House to manage each subscriber's account. Central House also utilizes third party companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf, including, without limitation, companies with whom we have administrative relationships, such as billing or customer support services. Such third parties have access to personally identifiable information needed to perform their functions that are specifically related the Service, but may not use it for other purposes unless specifically stated otherwise. In instances where Central House and a partner jointly promote the Service, Central House will collect personally identifiable information from subscribers to the fee-based Service as a result of the joint promotion; and Central House may provide to the partner certain aggregate, anonymous information regarding such persons for the sole purpose of allowing Central House and the partner to assess the results of the promotion. We do not otherwise share your personally identifiable information with such third parties, unless you have granted us permission to do so. If you have provided personally identifiable information to Central House, we will provide you with an opportunity to limit promotional email communications from Central House or authorized partners of Central House by "opting-out" or contacting Central House as specified below.

 

Business Transfers. Because online business is a rapidly evolving business, and Central House continues to develop and enhance its business, it may become subject to a corporate merger, corporate acquisition, or similar transaction involving the sale or combination of substantially all of its Service-related assets. In such circumstance, Central House reserves the right to disclose your personally identifiable information to the merged or resultant business entity.

Protection of Central House and Others. Compliance with the Law. Central House reserves the right to disclose your personally identifiable information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is reasonably necessary to (a) comply with legal process, (b) respond to any claims against it, or (c) protect the rights, property or personal safety of Central House, its employees, its customers or the public. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

 

Visitor Information. Central House uses information about user behavior, user experience, user equipment, computing and internet environment to improve the performance of the Central House Website and the Service.

Voluntary Subscriber Surveys, Usability Studies, Contests, and Other Voluntary Programs. Personally identifiable information collected by Central House in conjunction with voluntary subscriber surveys, usability studies, contests and other voluntary programs will not be shared with any sponsor or third party without your consent.

 

Communication Information. Central House may use your communication information to respond to your issues and inquiries. Your communication information you provide to Central House's third party partners will also enable such partners to let us know that you have contacted them. Such communication information may be used to distribute information back to you about Central House, the Service or other promotional or information communications from Central House.

 

Cookies. Cookies are data that a Website transmits to your computer's hard drive through your browser to enable the Website to recognize your browser, record and store your information and occasionally track your viewing habits for statistical purposes. The Central House Website uses cookies to collect this type of information to deliver targeted content to you, and potentially tailor and enhance your experience on the Central House Website.

 

Children. Central House does not intend to collect information from individuals who identify themselves as under thirteen (13) years of age who use the Service. If you are under thirteen, you should not subscribe to the Service or provide any personal information on the Central House Website. Central House will not knowingly disclose personally identifiable information of children under thirteen to any third party.

How does Central House protect my information?

Central House takes technical, contractual, administrative and physical security steps to protect all subscriber, visitor and contact information from unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy and enable the correct use of information. Central House utilizes security systems to protect such information. When you provide credit card information, we use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption to protect it. It is important for you to help protect the security of your information as well. You should not share your password with anyone. Also, remember to sign out of your account and close your browser window and sign off when using a shared computer.

 

Linked Web Sites. The Central House Website may contain links to other sites. Central House is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such other sites. Central House encourages you to review the privacy policies posted on these third party sites.

 

Accessing and Updating Information. Please notify us of changes to any of your personally identifiable information that you have previously provided to us, including name, address, title, phone number or email address by sending an email to service@centralhouse.com or calling us at (209) 245-5900 ext. 5. To change billing information for your subscription to the Service, or to remove your name from our database or interrupt email notifications, please send an email to service@centralhouse.com.
